Fourth Wall ☀ Video | Action for Goldenrod

[For those who are in Goldenrod, you may notice that Yosuke is desperately trying to not let this whole situation get to him. He's glitched around the city -- and even out a couple of times briefly. But knowing that Souji's in the Ice Path again means he needs to keep an eye on the Breeding Centre. Which he's trying to do, since he can't keep track of anyone else with all this mess.]

[It's not helping that Yuu - the Rotom, and Matis - the Elekid are both teaming up to give him little shocks. Aren't his Pokémon just hilarious? By mid-afternoon, his hair is practically standing on ends, a new shirt slightly charred; and maybe just a bit drenched from Saki (the Golduck) using Water Pulse on him to dampen the smouldering clothing.]

[Simple as that may be, there's also the matter of THIS hovering behind him at times. Yosuke looks focused whenever this guy is present; he's testing the waters of being able to summon his Persona in Johto.]

[A while later, he'll flick the video feed on, with two specific agendas.]

Okay, first of all. Anyone who's supposed to be at the Centre, can you give me a heads up with where you are? All this moving around's making it kind of hard to keep track, especially with who's supposed to actually be working today. Just, um... let me know. So much for that day off, huh...

[Filtered to the Investigation Team.]

[He's a little more exasperated now.]

I know we're all spread out, but with all this weirdness, uh... so. Can anyone else summon their Personas? Rise kind of almost fell through the TV, so I checked, and...

[He puts the gear down and steps back, closing his eyes and drawing in a breath. A tarot card floats above his hand, and then... Look, guys! It's Susano-o! After a minute, his image disappears and Yosuke picks the gear back up.]

It's weird. Like really weird. But... it kinda feels good to be able to do that after so long. I just wanted to know if you guys could too, though.

[Offering kind of a weak smile before cutting the feed.]

[She props her chin up on her hand; there's a glint of a brass ring on one finger and her nails are clearly cracked and untended.]

[Just strolling in, la la la - not a care in the world.

When she sees Susano-o, her eyebrows rise fractionally.]

My. That's quite an impressive friend you have.

[Heels clicking as she walks down the hallway (trying to find the fucking door, ugh she's going to break a wall and just walk out that way), this lady is stepping into view during one of those times Yosuke is messing with his Persona.]

The fuck is that? [No, she doesn't look startled, but she's got a pair of twin swords in her hands and she looks raring to use them.]

Ta-Takeba-san! [Shock! Surprise!!] I, uh... had no idea you were back.. ahaha...

[Laughing a little and ruffling said messy hair.]

[This is the color immediately draining from Yosuke's face. Pale, like a white sheet. His whole mouth is going dry in the space of a few seconds, and his hands tremble, causing the camera to shake.] Sen... Senpai?

Oh-! [His focus breaks, causing Susano-o to disappear for the moment. But that's okay, because a pretty girl walking in is always worth the distraction.]

Hehe, yeah, I guess. Definitely no Pokémon, I guess. [He shrugs his shoulders a bit, not sure if he can even begin to explain that to her. Instead, he will just fumble over his words and play salesman!] So, what brings you to the Centre today?

Yeah? We just saw each other yesterday.

[Well, that's good. If something stops her from breaking a wall, that's definitely good, because repairs are not fun. Of course, someone in his line of sight dual-wielding swords and seeing his Persona is not exactly good.]

Sh-shit! [Having not been prepared, Susano-o disappears from sight, and he holds his hands up.] It's... well, nothing, really! I, uh... ah.. haha...

[And the quicker he can shift the topic, the better.] Can I, um, help you with anything? Are you picking something up?

R-right, but... uh. [Oh, god, how does he explain this? The part where it's been over a year since she died-- Okay, not... bringing that up. Just.] It's not exactly like that though, Senpai.

[Laughing a little awkwardly. He knew this place could bring in people who were dead. He just never expect she would be one of them.]

[She softens a little, snickering.] I thought we were past the phase where you stammer all over my shoes.

Whatever. Hey, have you gotten your ring off, yet? [She holds up the ringed hand - left, on the fourth finger from the thumb. Yeah.]

What are you-- ["Talking about," in regards to the first part. And a little to the second part, until he takes note of the ring and puts together that she's asking him about it. His eyes are going to be permanently bug-eyed at this point.]

Is that a-- a-- [Oh. This has to be a joke, right? He ruffles his hair, letting out a laugh. YOU'RE SUCH A KIDDER, SENPAI!] Man, it's good to know you still have the same sense of humor, even when being taken out of Inaba, hehehe.

[The reaction makes her eyebrow lift, but in the end she relaxes the weapons in her hands.] No. I've been walking around trying to find the damn door though. [Those weapons are going to disappear ~~into hammer space??~~ and she's going to cross her arms now, somewhat glancing about.]

What is this place anyway?

Oh, I can show you the way but-- [He was going to ask how she got in without knowing where they were, but with all the weird stuff...] Well, it's the Breeding Centre, in Goldenrod.

[He shrugs a little, laughing and looking at her. And now that he's not panicking over someone seeing his Persona, he kind of notes how hot she is. And also...] I-isn't a little cold to dress like that though? I mean, hahaa... it's totally winter like, everywhere around here, y'know? Y-you must be... cold?

Never heard of that, or a village like that. [Honestly, everything looks weirdly new. Kaine's from a time where people use swords (again), so the modern day appliances she came across like light switches and a bathroom? Yeah wtf is all this.

And another one's first reaction is her clothing, ugh boys.]

Not at all. [Moving then to walk past him, Kaine is pausing at a lightswitch for the third time in her exploring to narrow her eyes suspiciously at it, before turning to look back with a look akin to 'I'm waiting'.]

O-oh, well. If you're sure. I would've... y'know, gotten you warmer clothes or something. [Boys are dumb, and Yosuke is dumb, so it's just double the stupid. He offers a weak smile, nodding a little.] A-anyways, I guess you got kind of sucked into this like a lot of people have this weekend. It's kind of weird to explain, but you're in Goldenrod City, Johto.

You've... probably never heard of it before this, but most of the people here you meet showed up from other worlds and stuff too. [He begins to lead her down the corridor into the main area of the Centre, in the meanwhile.]

I don't need them. [Frowning at the minor explanation and the unfamiliar names entirely, she followed with those sharp heels clicking.]

Other worlds? Bullshit. [Though "Goldenrod City, Johto" sounds like nothing she's heard before.] Ever hear of villages called Facade or Seafront?

We haven't been in Inaba in ages.

[So, the breeding centre. For some reason, all the lights are out. It's late afternoon, so there's still dim light, enough to see by...

But who is this, walking slowly down the hallway?]

My, my...

[When he actually catches him at the breeding center, anyway. Seeing as they're both kind of glitching all over the place, apparently.

[Everything is getting more and more confusing as the day goes on, Yosuke 8(]

[There's a few crashing noises as Yukiko appears out of thin air, and is kind of. Dropped onto the counter.

A Vulpix drops on her head, making her oomph, and an Arcanine comes crashing through the door a moment after, as though she's been here ages and it's hers.

Nothing makes sense. She'd been minding her own business at the Inn then suddenly whoosh-]

I hope there's an explanation for this...

Nope, not until you just said them. [He gives his shoulders a shrug.] Like a said, different worlds. I'm not here to bullshit you, y'know?

Uh... I know I haven't, but... what? [Oh god, he wonders if:] Senpai, um. How long have you been here?

[The shuffle of feet is enough to catch his attention; it's somehow an unfamiliar sound, especially when he hears the voice.]

He-hello? [He stands, making his way out of the main room and to the hallway.] Who's there?

[Staring. In total disbelief.]
